10 Surprising Facts About the Science of Hypnosis
1. You ARE awake. Even though you may feel relaxed, you remain completely awake during hypnosis! Hypnosis is a state of being hyper aware! The body is relaxed and the mind is available to incorporate suggestions for the person's best life.
2. You have already been HYPNOTIZED. The average person experiences hypnosis at least twice a day. If you have ever fallen asleep you have been in hypnosis. The moments right before you fall asleep or right before you wake up are hypnotic states. If you have ever driven somewhere and you realized you that you do not remember the whole trip. If you have ever been deeply immersed in a television program or movie and are not aware of what is going on around you. You have been in hypnosis.
3. Hypnosis has been around for a long time. Recorded descriptions of Hypnosis dates to ancient Egypt (and maybe even before).
4. You can hypnotize yourself. Hypnosis can also be called a meditative state or a reflective state.

Also, if you need to scratch your nose, move or go to the restroom, we just go right back into the relaxed state after.
